Each month, our popular Partners in Design event series features a new design partner for a fun and engaging event. We proudly present these events right here in our Lansing, MI showroom. All our design partners are local businesses and organizations providing products and services in our area. Each design partner presents an informative and fun event to our participants. They tell us about their organization, their background, and their business journey, and share their area of expertise. Every month offers a new opportunity to meet people and learn something!
All About Beeswax Barrn
Beeswax Barrn (spelled after Malinda’s last name Barr), puts its love of beeswax into practice by creating 100% beeswax products. They use natural beeswax and promote health and eco-friendliness. Beeswax products burn clean and longer and give off a fresh, warm honey smell. They also produce body soaps, lotions, and much more.
All About our April Event
At our April event, Malinda told us about all the incredible benefits of using beeswax candles and skin care products. Beeswax candles are natural air purifiers, have twice the burn time, and do not have any soot, smoke, drips, or toxins! Malinda discussed the benefits of burning a candle for allergies, household odors, and cooking odors. Beeswax is somewhat hard to get, as some hives only produce the wax in three years and some beekeepers actually discard beeswax because the honey is the prize.
It was an inspiring and interesting presentation, and we loved learning about the benefits of beeswax. The Beeswax Barrn in Haslett is open every Wednesday evening so guests can make their own candles! They also make their products available at showcases and marketplaces throughout the year.
